Hopefully I don't have to explain what a human is in too much detail. Simply put - humans are the default race. They are the baseline with which to compare the other races' Traits and Abilities. A nearly distinct trait all humans tend to possess is the ability to use Dynamism (hamon/ripple, spin, etc) abilities.
This is a broad category spanning a handful of familiar entities; vampires, zombies, and pillar men. They all share very similar traits within the Jojo canon, so on this site vampires, zombies, and pillar men have all been grouped together into one category. Immortal characters tend not to age at all, so they are able to be RPed throughout all four timelines at the same time. And yes, Immortal characters are able to use ridiculous Contortion (body manipulation) abilities, but each of these abilities needs to be registered in order to be performed. One of the universal abilities all Immortal characters can use is feeding (blood sucking), but must still be registered as a Focus based Ability. They cannot feel pain, however, if they do feel pain then it is a minimal amount.
Anything not Human or an Immortal is an Enigma; this includes animals, disembodied stands, and even extraterrestrials. Enigmas don't have distinct traits or abilities due to how ridiculously broad this category is, so traits and abilities can vary greatly from one Enigma to the next. Each Enigma will be looked at on a case by case basis in order to ensure fair play between races.
Regardless of what race you are, you will always be locked out of at least 1 type of power! Humans are locked out of Contortion, Immortals are locked out of Dynamism, and Enigmas tend to vary. As an example for Enigmas - A dog is able to possess a Stand but is locked out of Contortion, whereas a being not of the planet Earth is locked out of having a Stand but is able to possess Contortion.
