TRAITS
Everyone is unique from each other in some form whether this uniqueness is represented by a different eye color, greater athletic ability, or different positions within space and time. On this site, aside from obvious character application differences, Traits represent tangible character differences. There are no examples Traits in order to force you, the player, the be creative and innovative! Worry not about your Traits being balanced or below-average; staff should help you both balanced your Traits and make said Traits good, too. If you believe your Trait could be better, link an example to the staff member in charge of reviewing your application and sort things out in a civilized manner. Anyway, there are 4 types of Traits a character may have - Lineage, Racial, Power, and Extra. For all characters there is always a limit of 1 Lineage Trait whereas the other Trait types have limits depending on a character's personal growth (aka Power Tiers).
--------------------
Lineage
As mentioned above, each Lineage (and therefore Descendants) are limited to 1 Lineage Trait each. This type of Trait affects all Descendants of a Lineage, no matter how a Descendant is introduced into a Lineage (because of fate). This type of trait is also the only trait which may give a character a Power from the start.
--------------------
Racial
Racial traits affect aspects of a character's physical bodies such as the Strength, Speed, and Guts Stats (more about Stats below). Take into consideration what Race your character is before making any Racial traits. Also know a character might not stay the same race as they started; Humans can turn into an Immortal after all. In situations where your character changes their race, whatever Racial Traits they once had must be reevaluated by staff and then altered to fit your character's new race.
--------------------
Power
Power traits have to do with a character's Power and subsequently Willpower and Focus Stats (more about Stats below). Be aware of your character's Power and abilities when making Power traits - they may affect how your Power works!
--------------------
Extra
These Traits affect anything not affected by the above listed trait types - within reason! These traits are likely to be more heavily scrutinized by staff members due to their vague nature, but don't be discouraged from attempting to be original and innovative~
