Abyssal Visage Lineage: Charmont LineageType: Extra Description: Those of the Charmont lineage have found themselves to possess a sixth sense when it comes to their interaction with other people. They cannot read minds or even know what a person's next action might be, but they can sense the mood and intent behind a person in their proximity. What they can sense are moods that are seen as auras and represented by colors as well as the levels or intensities of them represented in shades and tints (such as annoyed being light pink, frustrated being mild red, all the way to burning hatred at crimson). The flow of the aura's tends to flare out towards the stimuli of the person's emotion, allowing a Charmont descendant to figure out what is causing a mood or intent within someone's mind.

The "Type" would be Extra (technically doesn't matter, but I prefer consistency). Anyway, this kind of Trait relies too much upon everyone else in a thread to truly ever work. You'd actually have to sweet-talk or be manipulative in some way to truly charm everyone else which defeats the point of a trait like this. You can keep this Trait unchanged and hope everyone else in the thread will be charmed for one reason or another, but you'd probably be better off with a more tangible effect. And by "tangible" I'll use the approved Lineage Traits as examples; Genio BrainThis trait is very straightforward; one more Theme to help describe the original theme which could mean a variety of things. Ambrogio's Stand, Fingers Blue, uses this trait's effect to increase the Stand's versatility without straying from the intent which is basically "air control" but with specific elements (Oxygen and Hydrogen). Ghost TalkerMotry's Lineage Trait isn't tangible in the same way Ambrogio's Lineage Trait is, because Ghost Talker opts for a more Plot oriented effect. Sure talking to Ghosts could help in combat if paired with the right Power to mitigate the weakness of becoming vulnerable, but talking to the dead helps tremendously with moving a Plot along. Having trouble finding someone in a big city? Just talk to a few ghosts who might know! Granted, staff might force the ghosts being conversed with to be less than helpful if things are becoming too easy, but otherwise this trait seems like a lot of fun for Plot. Indominable MindAnother straightforward trait, but still different enough to talk about; this trait is simply pain tolerance. To push through pain can be very helpful in combat if push comes to shove. However, this trait could have some Plot effects as well - to be able to ignore pain means to put your body at risk of receiving more damage from wounds like broken bones or torn muscles. A mental battle could take place between the trait owner's mind and their body; the body may want to pull out of the battle to recover from a nasty wound, but the mind wants to keep pushing forward regardless of the risk! Pretty neat if RPed right.
Anyway, long story short - if you keep the Trait as is then you'll risk everyone else within a thread simply ignoring your trait because it holds no tangible bearing on their characters. If you want something mind related, I suggest some sort of "lie detecting skill" (not outright mind reading - that's overpowered). If you want something charisma related...well, I don't know how to help with something so vague. Charisma is tricky considering charm is subjective (not everyone is charmed by the same thing). Maybe somehow reading body language or seeing some sort of pattern of behavior to determine another character's feelings towards your character (again, not outright mind reading). Up to you what you wanna do~

Hmmm, I think this Trait is ok. The second part is what makes this trait iffy for me; "The flow of the aura's tends to flare out towards the stimuli of the person's emotion, allowing a Charmont descendant to figure out what is causing a mood or intent within someone's mind."
Feels like this is an excuse to metagame and read an opponent's moves during combat. I'll let it slide until I see metagaming in that manner take place. Otherwise, this trait is approved (neat trait btw).
